REGISTRATION
1. I need help registering for classes.For help with LIR registration, first read our separate Registration FAQ. If you still have a problem, contact us at info@lirpalmdesert.org
2. How can I get help if I have problems paying online?
NOTE: We only accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and PayPal. If you still have a problem, contact us at info@lirpalmdesert.org
3. Why can't I get on the website to register at the time the site opens for registration?
There is often heavy traffic on the web at the beginning of registration. Try again in a few minutes.
4. How will I know if the class I want is in a classroom or on Zoom?
All classes are identified on the lirpalmdesert.com website as either in person or Zoom.
5. If a class is full, is there a wait list?
No. Our registration system cannot accommodate a wait list.
6. How can I add or drop a class after I have already registered?
Adds or drops can be made until registration closes. No changes can be made after registration closes.
a. Log into your account
b. In My Account, a list shows your registered classes
c. Drop a class - Click on the class you'll drop, and follow screen instructions
d. Add a class – click on Add, scroll to find a class to add, click on Select this Class, and follow screen instructions
e. You will NOT receive confirmation from the system. Write down your revised registered class list
f. Log out
AFTER REGISTRATION
1. Can I still register if I come to the classroom after classes start?No, once registration closes there are no additions or changes. You are not allowed to attend classes you aren’t registered for.
2. What time and day is the class I enrolled in?
Class times, dates and class descriptions are on the lirpalmdesert.com home page. Make a note of it!
3. Where are your classrooms and where do I park?
Please go to Finding Our Classrooms at https://lirpalmdesert.com/Find-Us
4. Can I get a refund if I cannot attend classes I registered for?
Submit your refund request to info@lirpalmdesert.org for refund review.
CLASSROOM ACCOMMODATIONS
1. Are wheelchairs permitted in the classrooms?Yes
2. Can a caregiver for a disabled student accompany the student without registering?
Yes
USING ZOOM
1. I need help with using Zoom to take a class.For general help with using Zoom, search YouTube for a tutorial for your specific device (iPhone, Android, iPad, tablet, laptop, etc.).
2. Can I take a Zoom class on my phone or on a tablet?
Yes, both work.
COMMUNICATION WITH LIR
1. How can I be added to the mailing list to learn about registration dates, new classes, etc.?Create a free account at lirpalmdesert.com. This will automatically add you to our mailing list. If you'd like to receive updates from LIR, but have not created an account, you can join our mailing list by clicking on “Join our mailing list” in the box on the home page.
2. How can I be deleted from an e-mail list?
At the bottom of the email, locate “Unsubscribe from this list” and click on it. Follow the instructions to remove your contact details.
3. How can I reach a board member by e-mail?
You can send a message to info@lirplamdesert.com. Please be specific in the Subject line as to your reason for writing.
